Local contractors are primed to get started on The Palms Collection New Masterplan should Cairns Regional Council give the Development Application the green light on 11th November 2020.
Local companies engaged so far include:
- FGF Developments – Civil Works
- Trinity Engineering Consultants – Civil Engineering
- Property Shop – Real Estate Sales; and
- A suite of local builders are in line to win the residential build work
“We are excited to have local companies engaged to work on what will be an iconic project for our region worth in excess of $300 million. The locals deserve the work and it couldn’t come at a more important time as Far North Queensland emerges from its COVID slumber. The economy is depressed in many areas such as tourism and retail, but if we can stimulate the economy as a whole with this investment and create not only jobs for civil works, engineering firms, local builders, architects, interior designers and real estate agents, then we are very proud to be doing so,” said PPNQ Developments Managing Director, Darren Halpin.
The long established local companies awarded the work claim a project such as The Palms Collection to be rolled out over multiple stages is a significant shot in the arm for the local economy and the fact that its locally owned and managed makes starting work even more rewarding for everyone involved.
If approved by Council on 11th November, work is expected to start on site by early – mid 2021.
